2010 & 2012 National Conference Bids
It is very important for self-advocates to get together at a national conference every two years.
At the Indianapolis conference, state organizations can bid to put on the national conferences that will be held in 2010 and 2012. State organizations that put on a national conference grow a lot, and they work very hard to get ready for it. If your board would like to put in a bid, they should be ready to present their bid in Indianapolis.
They should have a presentation that explains where they would have it and what that area has to offer. Why would the members present want to select your state instead of another state? Think about that question and try to give convincing reasons.
